    Any boy or girl ages 12 and under Come out and join the fun! A great opportunity to learn and grown your game of tennis. League will run Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4-5PM at the High School tennis courts. Match play will consist of 2 sets to 4. Staff will be on site to help with scoring.

  • Arboretum Trip

    Explore 1,200 acres of professionally maintained gardens, rare plant collections and accessible trails. In 2019 USA Today names the Arboretum the best botanical garden in North America. You will be on your own to explore and enjoy the Arboretum. There is a guided tram ride available if you choose to independently purchase a ticket for that upon arrival; cost is $8. There is also an eatery on site that has sandwiches, salads, soups and beverages available for purchase as well. Price includes: Coach bus ride and entry fee. Sorry, no refunds.     Babysitter's Class

    Grades 6 & up Receive training to be a responsible babysitter. You will learn how to interview for a babysitting job; how to handle emergencies; select safe, age-appropriate activities; feed and dress infants and toddlers; perform basic first aid skills and use manikins to learn rescue breathing techniques. Participants will receive reference materials to take home and will earn a certificate upon completion of the entire session. Must attend both classes. Please bring a snack.

    Beginner Yoga

    Join this 75-minute class to ease into starting your yoga practice with an introduction to yoga philosophy, poses, and breath work. Familiarize yourself with yoga vocabulary and different yoga styles for future classes. There will be more classes like this offered in the future so follow us on social media to stay connected!

    BlueJay Dance Program

    The BlueJay Dance Program offers classes in a variety of different styles for anybody aged three and up. Included in the cost of every class is instruction, recital costume, and a group picture. For the fall session, the recital rehearsal night will be scheduled the week of June 3 and the Dance Recital is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 in the JHHS Performing Arts Center. If you are paying by credit card, the option of utilizing a payment plan is available. The option of paying in full at the time of registration still exists (check, cash, or card), but we are also able to offer the ability to spread payments out over the course of the Spring session. By choosing the payment plan, the first of five equal payments is charged to your card at time of registration, with the final four payments automatically charged to your card on Feb. 1, Mar. 1, Apr. 1, and May. 1. Once you register, you are committed to all five payments as they will automatically be charged on those dates. Also, if your student qualifies for free/reduced lunches and has a current application on file, they are eligible to receive the Larissa Androli Dance Scholarship. Please stop in to the community education office to fill out an application prior to registration. ***New This Year*** Dance With Me Parent/Child Class (Child 18 months - 3 year old, with a parent/caregiver): Introduction to dance class. Will work on basic locomotor skills and coordination, body awareness, fun songs, games, and props. We ill participate in the December recital with a fun Winter/Christmas dance! Ballet/Lyrical (Grades 5 - 12): This class is offered to students who are currently enrolled in a tap/jazz class. This class will be highly focused on the use of proper ballet placement, technique, and terminology while doing barre work, center floor work, and across the floor. For the Fall Session we will perform one ballet dance and a lyrical / contemporary dance. Students will be required to wear a leotard, tights, and pink ballet shoes to each class. Bitty Ballerinas (Preschool ages 3 - 5): This is an introduction to dance and creative movement. We will teach tap and ballet using basic concepts. We will explore movement and music, while we develop motor skills, social interaction and communication skills in a positive learning environment. Tap and Ballet shoes are required. Divas (Grades 9 - 12): This class will be taught tap and jazz. More advanced skills will be taught and introduced into combinations and choreography. Tap and Jazz shoes are required. Dream Team (Grades 7 - 8): This class will be taught tap and jazz. We will work towards new skills and tricks, as well as learning proper technique. We will incorporate new combinations into choreography. Tap and Jazz shoes required. Elementary Hip-Hop (Grades 2 - 3): Move and groove while learning the latest hip-hop dances. Dancers will learn age-appropriate hip-hop skills and choreography. Will need black sneakers used only for dance. Jammers (Grades 3 - 4): This class will be taught tap and jazz. We will work towards more challenging steps and combinations, as we develop our technique and musicality. Tap and Jazz shoes are required. Junior Hip Hop (Grades 4 - 6): Move and groove while learning the latest hip-hop dances. Dancers will learn age-appropriate hip-hop skills and choreography. Will need black sneakers used only for dance. Mini Hip-Hop (Grades K - 1): Move and groove while learning the latest hip-hop dances. Dancers will learn age-appropriate hip-hop skills and choreography. Will need black sneakers used only for dance. Rhythm Rockers (Grades 5 - 6): This class will be taught tap and jazz. We will work towards more challenging steps and combinations, as we develop our technique and musicality. Tap and Jazz shoes are required. Rising Stars (Grade 2): This class will be taught tap, jazz and ballet. They will learn new steps, combinations and terminology while we focus on developing rhythm and musicality. Tap and Jazz shoes are required. Senior Hip-Hop (Grades 7 - 12): Move and groove while learning the latest hip-hop dances. Dancers will learn age-appropriate hip-hop skills and choreography. Will need black sneakers used only for dance. Solo/Duet/Trio: This has to be approved by instructor and you must be enrolled in at least one other BlueJay Dance class. Schedule to be set up with the instructor. Tiny Tappers (Grades K - 1): Introduction to Tap, Ballet, and Jazz. Dancers will learn basic steps, terminology, and basic combinations, while we develop a sense of rhythm and spatial awareness in a positive learning environment. Tap and Ballet shoes are required.

    BlueJay Dance Shirts

    2024 BlueJay Dance Recital T-Shirt Orders Deadline is Sunday, May 12th We will be placing an order for our 2024 Dance Recital T-Shirts from 4-Seasons Athletics. This year’s shirt will feature our “I Feel Like Dancing” Recital logo on the front and all dancers' names printed on the back. Please check the spelling of your dancer's name in the lounge. If you would like to order a shirt please register on the Waseca Community Eleyo Registration website www.waseca.ce.eleyo.com (same site you register for classes), go to BlueJay Dance Program, and select Shirt Orders, then you can select a size. Orders are due Sunday, May 12th - No Shirts orders will be accepted after this date. Cost of shirt is $20: You can pay online with a credit card, if you wish to pay by check or cash you will need to stop by the Community Ed. Office.     Bluejay Basketball Camp

    Boys and Girls Grades K-8 Join Boys' Varsity Coach Anderson and Girls' Varsity Coach Jackson at basketball camp! Participants will receive instruction, focus on the importance of fundamentals and teamwork in a setting that includes many fun drills and games! The camp will be run under the safety guidelines from the state at the time of the camp and held at the high school gym. Grades K-3 9:00-9:55AM, Grades 4-8 10:00AM -12:00PM

    Bluejay Beginners

    A class for youth that is designed for those that have previous experience with gymnastics. Gymnasts will learn to perfect their basic skills on all events: floor, bars, vault, beam and some work on the trampoline as well. This class can be repeated as many times as needed. Bluejay Beginner Skills Floor: Continue tolearn all shapes of gymnastics such as:tuck, pike, straddle, split, straight stand, handstand, lunge, arch, hollow and bridge. Tumbling moves worked on will be forward rolls, backward roll on incline, cartwheels, handstands, bridge, hollow hold, split jump, BWO/FWO w/spot. Bars: Front support hold(3 seconds), Casting(3 good swings), Tuck swings(3 swings), Straddle swings(3 swings), Tuck hang and hold, pullover(shld. ht.), back hip circle w/spot and pike out dismount w/spot. Beam: walking forward(HB), sideways(HB) and backward(LB), toe to knee kicks and scoops all done on the high beam. Landing off high beam, Tuck, Straddle, Pike Jumps done on low beam, cartwheel(LB) w/spot and step full turn(LB). Vault: correct board approach, straddle jump and stick landing, squat onto vault(100 ht). Donkey kicks(5) Dive Roll on incline.

    Join the Waseca Youth Football Association in this football camp that promises to be a fun and productive week to help you get prepared for the upcoming season! Players will always be kept in groups according to their age and will be taught the fundamentals of offensive, defensive and special teams positions. The skills, schemes and techniques taught in this camp will be used by the players throughout their careers in Bluejay Football. This is a padded camp with shoulder pads, helmets and practice jerseys being used during this camp. Equipment Pickup-APPOINTMENT REQUIRED: July 30th: 6:00PM-8:00PM July 31st: 6:00PM- 7:00PM LOCATION: Central Building Equipment Room. Use door N14 to enter the equipment room on the north side of the building. No equipment will be handed out at the fields.     Bluejay Volleyball Camp

    Grades K-3 These camps are a great opportunity for those interested in learning more about the sport of volleyball. We will introduce and cover the basics including: passing, setting, hitting, serving, and more! Campers will learn and establish better skills through a variety of instructional drills and mini games. Knee pads are recommended, but not required. Grades 4-6 and 7-9 No previous experience needed. We will provide an opportunity for campers to improve their skills in volleyball through a variety of fun drills and games. Campers will receive instruction to improve on passing, setting, hitting, serving, and learn good court movement. Knee pads are recommended, but not required. Registration deadline to guarantee a shirt is May 24th!!
